Situated at the southern entrance of the well known development; AL Butat, This home, built in 1996, had been previously designed in simple Hijazi architecture that insures the privacy of all the villas in the project.
The Owner of the property, who was residing in Tokyo, Japan at the time, entrusted our firm to take on the implementation of the project from blueprints to keys. His final vision for the home was to totally modernize the house with architecture that would blend in and reflect the environment it is within, all whilst adding nuances of Japanese design elements and materials to reach the desired feel.
The Word 'Kenshi' is Japanese for 'Swordsman'. In all cultures, Swordsmen are known for their continuous thrive towards perfecting their skill by challenging themselves. The process of this construction was filled with many challenges from its early stages, the Initial structure of the house was a 'Load Bearing Structure'. Hence, and to follow the new design, the house required steel re-enforcement all through before the transformation could happen. Nonetheless, the related parties resided in three different continents with up to 8 hours of time difference.
However, No obstacle is big enough if one keeps an eye on the final Goal.
For with Faith, Trust & Patience, all obstacles are but pebbles on the road.
